Busy Brissy Birthday Giveaway

Hip-hip Hooray...

Busy Brissy Mum turns one today! Over the past year I have enjoyed sharing some of the ideas I have up my sleeve with you and I hope you've had as much enjoyment reading them...and maybe doing a few too.

To celebrate my blogaversary Busy Brissy Mum will have a month of giveaways starting and ending each Thursday (although the first one starts today to help the celebrations begin and give you some extra time this week to get your entry into the competition!) There will be three give-aways in total.

This week's prize is an 'ABC for Kids Favourites No 1' CD. We absolutely love this CD at our house. It has 25 fun songs from many of our favourite performers such as The Wiggles, Justine Clarke, Jay Laga'aia and Playschool plus a few others we may not have known so well before but really love to sing along to now.

So, come celebrate with me and join in the giveaway fun. This competition is open to Australian residents. Who knows, you may soon be singing along to this CD just as loudly as we do. I can't wait to see your entries!

To enter:

Leave a comment below sharing who your child/s' favourite singer or singing group is?

A winner will be drawn at random next Thursday, June 10 at 9pm before the fun starts all over again. Stay tuned to find out what the next prize will be.

Have lots of fun!

Thank you to everyone who entered the giveaway. We've had a real mixture of entry answers....Colin Buchanan, Bindi, Justine Clarke, Wiggles and I loved the Greater Things answer but CONGRATULATIONS goes to Elise who's name was drawn by the True Random Generator at Random.org . You have won the fantastic 'ABC For Kids Favourites No 1' CD. Please leave your name and postal details at pauleastment@bigpond.com and I'll post it out to you. ENJOY!

Watch out for the next exciting giveaway coming up NOW!

Can't go past the Wiggles for my boys! Mason especially was crazy for Dorothy the Dinosaur last year. He has 2 stuffed Dorothy's thanks to family :) Oh to have their energy!

As tired as I am of them, Immy is completely and absolutely in love with the Wiggles :) Me, I would just like a little more variety.

Justine Clark is pretty high on the list at the moment!

Colin Buchanan is up there for us - including in his old Playschool days!

BTW - happy blog-a-versary!

Well at the moment it would have to be me as she doesn't recognize anyone else!! Better enjoy it for now as I'm sure it won't last long with so many fabulous Australian artists.

My daughter Emma (2) is totally in love with the Fairies at the moment. She sings along to Harmony and Rhapsody with a huge smile on her face! Her favourite tune would have to be the morning song when the fairies wake up fairyland, her favourite line "hello, hello, hello!"
So cute! My son (5) was never into singing so it's extra nice!!
Congratulations on blogging for 1 year!!
Tina

Will (3) just adores the Wiggles, though he calls them "dorofy".

At the moment the boys LOVE Jay Laga'aia (and I do too!). Especially his version of Humpty Dumpty!

Congratulations on your blog's birthday! My daughter LOVES Colin Buchanan (mostly his post-playschool Christian kids albums). She also loves pretty much anyone from playschool!

If you would have asked this question a couple of months ago I would have said that my Miss 5 has adored the Wiggles without waiver since she could recognize their coloured shirts.
But I think I might say that Bindi has won her attention lately. It probably helps that little miss 15 months will go from very unhappy to almost giddy with excitement when I turn Bindi on in the car. She even head bangs. Very cute.

It changes frequently but might daughters fav at the moment is an oldie. Peter Combes and in particular his song Wash your Face with Orange Juice. A great one to get you going!

Hey Amanda, Congrats on the 1 yr anniversary!
At my home it's Psalty the singing song book or Dalty as it's interpreted. 'He's big, He's blue and He's here for you!!!' I think I may have heard that a few times...........

So far we've had a real mixture of artists.

I only recently discovered your blog...I lost a good chunk of my afternoon that day lol. You seem like a wonderful Mummy, your girls are very lucky :) I am having trouble finding Mum's who are along my wavelength in regards to getting out there and end enjoying each and every day with our precious children. I would love to know where to find mums like you in real life (and in my area!).

Anyways....to answer your question...my little Max loves the Wiggles at the moment. I love watching him have a little boggie to them! And my princess Paige just loves Justine Clarke. She is coming to Adelaide the weekend we leave on our holiday to the Gold Coast which I am so disappointed about!

@ Sarah - Thanks for the encouragment. It would be so wonderful to meet up with online buddies in real life. I personally have found a number of like-minded mummies online. I guess at least it's great to have that community somewhere.

When you get to the Gold Coast you'll have to check out Gov's Esspresso. It is a wonderful place to go for a coffee while the kids have a play in the sandpit. Look it up on facebook if you can. I can't wait to go there!

Happy Blogaversary to you!

Justine Clark is a favourite in our house at the moment. Savvy and Blakie enjoy the dinosaur song. They roar along (very loudly)!

My girls love "God of this City" by Chris Tomlin! They go around the house yelling 'greater things are yet to come, greater things are yet to come' and of course they want it playing as they go to sleep :)

I've been making my toddler son listen to Peter Coombes (old school Wiggles!), although he's a big fan of his Playschool nursery rhymes too!

Congrats on your blogaversary!

Fandabadoozie is Doug Horley's latest CD - he has two characters named Harry and Larry - one is smart and the other is stupid - and they speak first, followed by great music.

My kids love it... I though... don't want to ever hear Harry and Larry again...

Josh.

Sometimes it can be so hard to enjoy the kids music along with them can't it Josh. My girls LOVE Justine Clarke but I think I LOVE her music more (ha ha) so I don't really mind how much it gets played and it gets play a lot!

I love popping in to read your blog - I always pick up a great tip or three!

I forgot to say that my daughter loves anything by Playschool, esp the Nursery Rhymes DVD. No single person is a favourite - she seems to wiggle about no matter who is singing!

Vanessa LOVES Hi 5 and Veggietales, and sings and dances along. She has the dvds but also insists on the cds in the car. I love watching her groove away to the music, it's just too cute. And I love watching her baby sister grin away at her while she is grooving :)
