Playing Along - Where's Our Little Friend Piglet?

Miss M and I are playing along with everyone over at Childhood 101 We Play this week.

We've been playing a wonderful game that's continued right throughout the holidays. It has involved Miss M, myself and our tiny little friend Piglet. Piglet has cheekily been hiding all over the house for Miss M to find. Once she finds Piglet the game starts all over again. Where, oh where, oh where is Piglet?

Piglet has hidden in many different places such as....

....here....

....here....

...here....

....and here.

The inside of our house has lots of interesting spots for Piglet to be and I think he would also be happy hiding outside, in the car or under the house. We will keep this game going for as long as Miss M's face lights up when she spots her little friend. It doesn't matter if she finds Piglet the same day he is hidden or days (and days) later. It's been fun to play together, just the two of us....er I mean the three of us. (Sorry Piglet!)

Of course this game can be played with anything but the smaller the better for maximum trickiness and maximum fun. Now, where to hide Piglet next? Hmmm... I think the fridge. Shhhh....don't tell Miss M! I've stuck Piglet in a big blob of play dough on the top shelf.

"Pooh!" squeaked the voice.
"It's Piglet!" cried Pooh eagerly. "Where are you?"
"Underneath," said Piglet in an underneath sort of way.
"Underneath what?"
"You," squeaked Piglet. "Get up!"

Come and play at the Childhood 101 We Play Link Up.

What a great idea! I can imagine the excitement on Miss M's face when she discovers Piglet! I wonder what I could find to hide for Liam...

We have plenty little friends who I think would love to be lost and found around the house! Or maybe I could use the plastic letter "G" for Princess' name :) I'm sure she'd love that!

Awesome! We've been watching and reading a lot of Pooh lately and just read your quote last night! Great idea that I think I will try!

That looks like so much fun.

On a serious note it would probably also help with my girls fear of loss. We've been working with the therapist on telling the girls that a toy is not lost 'it is playing Hide and Seek'.

So your very clever Piglet idea would really reinforce that. Thank you.

What a fun game. I imagine the girls would be excited to go on a search for Piglet and that there would be lots of laughter when he is found.

Thanks for stopping by Busy Brissy Mum everyone. I love reading your comments. Do you know, Miss M hasn't found Piglet yet! Poor Piglet is still in the fridge and it's been days. I've had Miss M go to the fridge for plenty of things since writing this post but she just hasn't seen him. Time to move him down a shelf or two.
