Digging Patch

The girlies and I are playing along with everyone for We Play over at Childhood 101.

This house of ours is a work in progress. It's missing some of the comforts or special features houses can have but we love it and we'll continue to work on it (probably over many, many years). Until it's finished some of its not so lovely features become our best play areas, like the muddy car tyre tracks where a driveway should be. After the rain it's a great place to dig, float boats and make mud pies. Anyone feeling hungry?

Yes, our girls have a digging patch too. It's just in the middle of the yard where the dog had a bit of a scractch and the girls have now started to make a bigger and bigger hole. If it's not wet enough, they just add water to make their mud pies! I used to worry about holes in the yard, but I would rather everyone be happy and a bit dirty than have an immaculate yard.

My kids started a new digging patch...which had to be covered over due to selling the house. Hopefully we'll get another one someday soon!

PS. I LOVE your house!

I love that you turn what could be a negative into a positive!

I remember floating leaves down the gutter with my Nan when I was younger.
